Eight-time record winners OL Lyonnes eliminated holders Arsenal with a 4-3 aggregate score in the Women's Champions League semifinal.
The reigning champions' 2-1 lead from the first leg was wiped out by captain Wendie Renard who converted a cool penalty in the 21st minute, before Kadidiatou Diani doubled the advantage to put the hosts ahead in the tie.
Arsenal were left trailing at the break but wrestled back into the contest courtesy of Alessia Russo's finish in the 75th minute which drew terms level again.
But it was Jule Brand who proved heroic on the day when she guided in a late winner, avenging Lyonnes' elimination by Arsenal at this stage in the competition last season.

OL Lyonnes were unbeaten in the League Phase, but were handed their first defeat of the season by Wolfsburg in the first leg.
The French side popped up with a big performance in the second leg, progressing to the semifinals courtesy of a 4-0 victory, and will be bidding for a ninth European title.
