How do Morocco stop France's unparalleled attack? (1:50)

Kylian Mbappé turned on the style as France eased into their third-straight World Cup semifinal with a 2-0 win over Morocco.

Mbappe missed a penalty in the first half, but it did not cost his team as he scored a sensational second half effort, before providing an assist for Ousmane Dembélé.

Relive the action below.

France began the better of the two sides and Mbappe had an effort saved well by Yassine Bounou, before Dayot Upamecano should have scored with a header from close range.

Mbappe made the break into the box in the first half when he was brought down in the box by Noussair Mazraoui.

But after a wait of over three minutes, Mbappe hit a tame penalty into the middle of the goal and Bounou made light work of the save.

That saw the two sides go in level at the break but France were completely dominant and had racked up a cumulative xG of 1.87, the highest in the tournament by the break without scoring a goal.

France were much more direct in the second half and it was Mbappe who finally made their dominance count with a brilliant, curling effort past Issa Diop and a helpless Bounou.

Then, moments later, he found Dembele, who hit his effort along the ground, and it was in all honesty nowhere near the bottom right corner, and probably should have been saved.

Mbappe was then taken off, with ice applied to his ankle, but he was able to join the post-match celebrations and so it is highly unlikely he will miss the semifinal.

That will be between Spain or Belgium, who play each other on Friday night.
