Alex Smalley, the solo leader at the 2026 PGA Championship through three rounds, will look to cap off an incredible underdog story Sunday. Smalley entered the fray as a 170-1 long shot to win his first professional tournament, showed +1550 after holding a co-lead through two rounds, and exits the third round with +485 odds.
However, given his low pre-tournament power rating, a two-shot lead isn't enough to make him the favorite, and bookmakers apparently still see it as anyone's tournament. Jon Rahm is the favorite at +465, then Ludvig Åberg (+600) and Rory McIlroy (+760) trail Smalley as the only other golfers shorter than 12-1.
It took a truly poor third round to knock Scottie Scheffler out of the favorite conversation and, now five shots back of the lead, he shows +1650 to capture his second consecutive PGA Championship. Cameron Young, a pre-tournament favorite for bookmakers and bettors alike, has fallen to 105-1 after entering the competition at +1475.
