The Atlanta Braves and Miami Marlins, the two teams with which veteran Jeff Francoeur split his 2016 season, are both in talks with the outfielder about a potential reunion, according to FanRag Sports' Jon Heyman.

Rumor Central

Francoeur, 33, slashed a combined .254/.297/.378 with seven home runs while playing for the two NL East teams. According to MLB Trade Rumors, it’s been five years since the free agent turned in an OBP north of .300, but he’s valued by teams for his "leadership and clubhouse presence."

Francoeur has the experience to offer a leadership role, considering he has been in the league for 11 years. The Braves may hold a slight advantage with the Georgia native, who has two previous stints in Atlanta, including 99 games last season.
