The Texas Rangers "have been reluctantly willing to discuss" lefty reliever Alex Claudio in trade talks ahead of Monday's deadline, according to Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News.

Rumor Central

The 25-year-old has a 2.38 ERA, 1.00 WHIP and seven holds in 46 appearances this season (one start, 18 games finished) and is 4-for-6 in save opportunities.

Grant tweets that Claudio might never have a higher value than he does right now.

Claudio was drafted by the Rangers in 2010 and has spent all four years of his big-league career in Texas. He's eligible for arbitration in 2019 and won't reach free agency until 2022.
