Report: McRae, Tokoto to attend Sixers training camp

When the Philadelphia 76ers open training camp in late September, a late second round selection from the 2014 and 2015 NBA drafts will be part of the squad. From Keith Pompey of The Philadelphia Inquirer:

"The 76ers apparently are not ready to part ways with Jordan McRae and J.P. Tokoto. A league source confirmed that McRae will join the Sixers for training camp, which begins Sept. 29 at Stockton University in Galloway Township, N.J. Another league source said Tokoto will participate in camp as well. But would that be the case if the two second-round picks hadn't pushed to attend the camp? Sixers general manager Sam Hinkie could not be reached for comment. Second-rounders can show up to training camp and force the franchise that picked them to make a decision: Tender an offer or lose their draft rights and see them become unrestricted free agents. The Sixers have until Sept. 5 to tender an offer Tokoto, the 58th pick in the 2015 draft. They have until Sept. 10 to do the same with McRae (the 58th pick in the 2014 draft)."
