NBA Rumor Central: Blazers center Festus Ezeli suffered minor setback

Festus Ezeli has yet to play in a game with the Portland Trail Blazers as he is sidelined recovering from the "bone marrow aspirate" procedure to his left knee in August. Ezeli has been working hard through the rehab process but had a slight setback in the middle of October with swelling in his knee.

"I practiced, and that’s what happens sometimes -- it reacts, swells up, you go back, regress and come back," Ezeli told CSNNW.com on Tuesday night.

Since the swelling occurred, the training staff has slowed Ezeli a bit through the rehab process and they will take a cautious approach until he is good enough to play in his first game. The Blazers have not provided a timeframe for when he'll return.

“I’m just continuing to work and grind through this rehab," Ezeli said. “That’s all I can do."

Ezeli signed a two-year, $15.13 million deal with the Blazers in July after spending his first four years in the NBA with the Golden State Warriors.
