David Wright to resume baseball activity soon

NEW YORK -- New York Mets captain David Wright, who landed on the disabled list last Wednesday with a strained right hamstring, has started doing exercises to keep his legs in shape, manager Terry Collins said.

Collins added that Wright should begin baseball activity soon.

General manager Sandy Alderson has estimated Wright will miss three total weeks because of the hamstring injury, so he may have two weeks to go. Wright is eligible to return from the DL on April 30.
