NEW YORK -- So now we can see Steven Matz, right?

Lucas Duda delivered a walk-off fielder's choice grounder with the bases loaded and none out against Nate Adcock and the New York Mets beat the Cincinnati Reds, 2-1, in 13 innings at Citi Field in the resumption of Saturday’s suspended game. Dilson Herrera scored the decisive run after a leadoff walk and advancing to third base on Curtis Granderson's single.
The win came despite the Mets finishing 0-for-15 with runners in scoring position. It marked the first time in franchise history the Mets won a game in which they were hitless in 15 or more at-bats with runners in scoring position, according to the Elias Sports Bureau.
The game had resumed on Sunday with the score tied at 1 to begin the seventh inning.
Double zeroes: Jeurys Familia tossed two scoreless frames but logged a season-high 36 pitches. That likely leaves Familia unavailable for the regularly scheduled game that follows.
Logan Verrett also contributed two scoreless relief innings.
Robbed ’em: Juan Lagares reached above the wall to deprive Jay Bruce of a potential leadoff homer in the eighth.
Skip handles ’em: Reds left fielder Skip Schumaker twice robbed the Mets on hard-hit balls in the seventh inning. Schumaker raced to the corner and ran down Ruben Tejada’s line drive to record the frame’s first out. Duda then crushed a ball into the left-field corner, but Schumaker threw out Duda trying to stretch the hit into a double.
What a relief: Hansel Robles recorded four outs -- none bigger than the final out of the seventh. Robles inherited the bases loaded from Carlos Torres and Alex Torres and coaxed an inning-ending pop-out to catcher Kevin Plawecki in foul territory.
What’s next: Matz makes his major league debut in the regularly scheduled game, which is set to begin shortly. Matz opposes right-hander Josh Smith (0-0, 12.00).
