COLORADO SPRINGS 14, LAS VEGAS 6: Starter Stolmy Pimentel allowed seven runs in 4 1/3 innings. Box

AKRON 8, BINGHAMTON 7: The B-Mets scored seven runs in the seventh inning but failed to protect that late 7-6 lead. L.J. Mazzilli, representing the tying run in the ninth, was thrown out at third base attempting to advance on a foul pop out for the final out. In the B-Mets' big inning, Mazzilli ripped a three-run double and Derrik Gibson launched a game-tying triple. Gibson then scampered home with the go-ahead run on a wild pitch. A half-inning later, B-Mets reliever Mike Hepple surrendered a leadoff double to Ivan Castillo. Hepple later in the inning uncorked a game-tying wild pitch. Akron retook the lead in the eighth when Todd Hankins roped a two-out double against Luis Mateo. Binghamton put two runners aboard in the ninth against J.P. Feyereisen. With one out, Matt Oberste then popped out to catcher Jeremy Lucas in front of the B-Mets' dugout on the first-base side. Lucas tumbled after the catch, but popped back up and fired to third to nab Mazzilli. Binghamton was forced to play from behind after starter Rainy Lara allowed six runs (five earned) in six innings. DAYTONA 1, ST. LUCIE 0: Josh Prevost took the tough-luck loss in his best start of the season. He limited the Tortugas to one run on seven hits and a walk in 6⅓ innings. St. Lucie was unable to capitalize on three Tortugas errors, including back-to-back miscues to begin the seventh. Daytona scored the game's lone run in the third on a one-out single by Blake Trahan, which plated Jonathan Reynoso. Tortugas starter Tyler Mahle blanked the Mets for six innings. The Mets' best chance to score came against Jacob Ehret in the seventh, when John Mora and Jhoan Urena reached on errors. However, Patrick Biondi couldn’t get a bunt down and struck out and Champ Stuart popped out. Luis Guillorme kept the rally alive with an infield single that loaded the bases, but Amed Rosario struck out for the third time as the threat stalled. In the eighth, Tomas Nido drew a two-out walk and advanced to third on an errant pickoff throw. He was stranded when Mora grounded out. Guillorme had three of St. Lucie's six hits. Stuart singled in the fifth to extend his hitting streak to 11 games. Box

CHARLESTON 2, COLUMBIA 1: In his third inning of relief work, Ty Bashlor surrendered a tiebreaking -- and unearned -- run in the eighth. With two out, Angel Aguilar walked. Fireflies starter Tyler Badamo allowed one run on five hits and three walks in five innings. Columbia's lone run came in the fifth inning on Vinny Siena's RBI double. Box
