LAS VEGAS 11, IOWA 5: Michael Conforto went 2-for-4 with a double, triple, two RBIs and two runs scored and Johnny Monell, Travis Taijeron and Eric Campbell homered. Starter Robert Gsellman allowed five runs on six hits and two walks in four innings. Jeff Walters and Chasen Bradford followed with two scoreless relief innings apiece. Box
HARTFORD 4, BINGHAMTON 2: Hartford's Pat Valaika homered against Josh Zeid in the first inning. Binghamton answered in the bottom half as Dominic Smith doubled in Phillip Evans, but the B-Mets stranded the bases loaded that inning. Hartford took control in a three-run third against Zeid, who threw 44 pitches and walked three batters in the frame. Zeid (2-3) allowed four runs on five hits and four walks in five innings. Victor Cruzado belted a leadoff homer in the ninth. The B-Mets then brought the tying run to the plate, but Matt Oberste flied out to end the game. Box
ST. LUCIE 7, DAYTONA 0 (7 innings): Chris Flexen tossed six scoreless innings and St. Lucie completed a four-game sweep with a rain-shortened win. Flexen scattered five hits, walked one and struck out four. Luis Guillorme put a ball in play that was booted by Tortugas shortstop Ronald Bueno, which plated Kevin Taylor with the game’s opening run. Jhoan Urena mashed a two-out, two-run homer against Tejay Antone later in that frame to put the Mets ahead 3-0. John Mora had a pair of run-scoring groundouts and Guillorme later added a sacrifice fly. Paul Paez recorded two outs in the top of the seventh before rain halted the game. COLUMBIA 4, ROME 0: Andrew Church tossed a one-hit shutout as Columbia snapped an eight-game losing streak. Church, the Mets' second-round pick in 2013 out of high school in Las Vegas, retired Rome's final 11 batters and struck out a career-high 10 in the first complete-game shutout in Fireflies history. He improved to 3-0 and lowered his ERA to 0.42 in the South Atlantic League. The lone hit came on a two-out single in the first. Vicente Lupo's run-scoring double in the first opened the scoring. Lupo then homered in the third for a 2-0 lead. He is now hitting .333 (20-for-60) with 14 RBIs in the second half. Columbia added another run in the fourth. Eudor Garcia capped the scoring with an opposite-field homer in the eighth. Box
KINGSPORT 3, BURLINGTON 2: Jose Maria delivered a tiebreaking RBI double in the eighth. Ronald Guedez recorded his second save with a perfect ninth. Starter Max Wotell allowed one run on four hits and two walks in six innings. Box

GCL ASTROS 2, GCL METS 0: The Mets mustered only three hits. Carlos Sanchez doubled in the second, Juan Uriarte singled in the third and Oliver Pascual singled in the fourth. Each was a leadoff shot. And each time the baserunner was erased on a double play. Box
