PORTLAND 11, BINGHAMTON 3: Tyler Herron (2-2) allowed nine runs (eight earned) on 12 hits in four-plus innings. His ERA jumped from 5.28 to 6.82. The dozen hits he surrendered matched the most allowed by a B-Mets starter this season. Herron allowed the first three batters to reach in the fifth. He then was replaced by Logan Taylor, who served up a three-run homer to Jake Romanski in the ensuing at-bat that stretched Portland’s lead to 10-0. Box

ST. LUCIE 16, LAKELAND 3: The Mets scored seven runs before Lakeland starter Jeff Thompson recorded an out. Kevin Taylor doubled twice with the bases loaded and drove in five runs. Patrick Biondi had four hits, including a double. Tomas Nido, Jonathan Johnson, Michael Katz and Taylor had three hits apiece. Mets starter Casey Delgado logged 7 2/3 innings.
