The magazine estimates the Mets lost $2.4 million in operating income for the most recent fiscal period.

The New York Yankees are listed as the most valuable, at $2.3 billion.

The rest of the top five:

2. Los Angeles Dodgers $1.615 billion

3. Boston Red Sox $1.312 billion

4. Chicago Cubs $1 billion

5. Philadelphia Phillies $893 million.

The Tampa Bay Rays pull up the rear at $451 million.
