Sri Lanka have pulled off a victory out of nowhere, India looked set for victory when Tendulkar and Ganguly were batting, they were coasting when Dhoni and Karthik added 66 runs for the sixth wicket. Malinga's yorker to trap Karthik lbw was the clincher, India were still 23 runs away from victory at that stage. Dhoni had played a restrained and responsible innings until then and found it hard to impose himself on the game with only the tailenders for company. Sri Lanka's bowling at the death was outstanding and the Indians will be shocked at this defeat.

Rahul Dravid blames the loss on losing wickets at regular intervals. He thought India did really well to restrict Sri Lanka to 257 for 8. He says that the difference between the two sides was Sangakkara's hundred.
Mahela Jayawardene is understandably thrilled, he congratulates his bowlers for coming back strongly aftera wayward start. Kudos to Sangakkara as well. He says that Sri Lanka believed they could turn it around even when Tendulkar and Ganguly were in complete control.
Kumar Sangakkara is undoubtedly the Man of the Match. He scored 110 and held the innings together after Sri Lanka lost their top order cheaply.
