And on that note, it's a wrap from us. Another double-header tomorrow so be sure to join us for that, but until then have a good one!
Thisara Perera: "If you see our performance, we did our best. As a bowling unit we did pretty well. [Was 160 a good total?] I know that the main thing is minimising the boundaries, as well as keeping them under 150. We know our batting unit is strong - Gurbaz, Angelo and Waseem did a good job. As a bowling unit I knew our bowlers could do something special in this track, that's why we picked them. Happy overall. [games going forward?] Whatever situation we have the bench power, so I'm happy with my squad."
Charith Asalanka: "All three departments went wrong, shocking day in the field. The pitch wasn't that bad, definitely could have done better including myself. Usually the surface here is a spinning track, gets stuck in the pitch, so need to get used to the conditions. But that's not an excuse. Still we're happy, we're still in second and hopefully we stay there."
Player of the Match goes to Shadab Khan for his figures of 4 for 10: "[hat-trick ball?] I think that was out, think it was a technology problem. I think it was out. [the pitch] I think it was bit slower, but we just had to stick to our plans. The pitch is definitely helping the spinners, especially when bowling in good areas. [On him being leading wicket taker in the LPL] I struggled in last three months, but that's the beauty of cricket, suddenly you start performing and hopefully that continues with Pakistan as well."
10.30pm Well that was as dominant a win as you're likely to see during this season, as Colombo Striker's romped home by nine wickets and 10.1 overs to spare. Gurbaz was unbeaten on a 33-ball 57, while Waseem ended on 29 off 17. Earlier Shadab grabbed four as the Jaffna's batting crumbled to crawl to 109 for 9. The result also means Jaffna take a NRR hit, while Colombo now have a chance of topping the table if they win their last two games.
