7.30 pm So New Zealand continue their undefeated run against Ireland in this tour to start off with a 1-0 advantage in the T20Is.
Glenn Phillips has been named Player of the Match
Ireland captain Andy Balbirnie: "I thought we started pretty well with the ball and had a good Powerplay. They batted well in the last 10 and set us an above par total. We wanted to hold them to 150. We had a poor Powerplay on the batting side. It got away from us in the end. We had a couple of relatively good partnerships in the middle but nothing substantial."
New Zealand captain Mitchell Santner: "It wasn't easy. The composure Glenn showed to get us to a good score and then the bowlers, it was a good win. Trying to build those partnerships with the bat and get to the death phase, the Neesham innings helped us get to a good score. It was a tough wicket. We've come up against a good Irish team. If it wasn't for Glenn, we were probably looking at 140 or 150 which might not have been enough. Wickets in the Powerplay were key and for Lockie and Duffy to do that was good. The changes of pace today were outstanding. The legcutter and bumper were not easy."
That's it from us today. Come back Wednesday for the second match in this series. On behalf of Sreshth Shah, I'm Peter Della Penna. Take care!
