Ben Dunk, Player of the Match: Supersub is an interesting concept. I think I've had my intent but just picked out fielders with my high risk options. Hopefully we will keep the momentum moving forward. David hasn't scored the runs but he is a great influence. Even having Jason and Rovman down there, world class players, they got it done. Not nervous at the start, but got a bit sweaty and nervous when it was two from two, he bowled a hell of a last over in all fairness.
Colin Munro, Desert Vipers Captain: Lost with my batting (chuckles), top order did very well. I thought they bowled really really well with change-ups. It was tough throughout middle, Adam Hose got us to 170 (played a great knock). Ben Dunk turned back the clock, played beautifully. Credit goes to them, I think they bowled really well upfront. They used the conditions better than us tonight. Such a small margin in this game. Everyone is putting the effort in training. When we won it last year, everything went in our way...right now some things are going against us
David Warner, Dubai Capitals Captain: Really important win, we wanted to bowl first and belief in our change room was chasing and it suits (us). I think we were calm and composed and guys got the job done. I'm pretty calm and relaxed out there. We got some back to back wickets which is important in this game. I still haven't found my rhythm, I'm not worried about myself, we need winning partnerships; we have shown glimpses and we need to take that powerplay on.
Another low-scoring thriller in the ILT20 as Dubai Capitals edge past Desert Vipers and climb to the second spot in the table. This will be a tough pill to swallow for Desert Vipers as they languish at the bottom of the table but the bowling wasn't just good enough, and their ace pacer Shaheen Afridi led them down in this crucial match. Nevertheless, a terrific game of cricket that brought us to the edge of our seats. Got to feel for Pathriana, who was magnificent in the field and bowled his heart out as well - a 10 out 10 game for him. Desert Vipers scrapped their way to a fighting total of 169 but couldn't seize the big moments with the bowl and end up on the losing side.
Jrm: "Shaheen actually lost the game for vipers... pathirana should have bowled the penultimate over" I agree with you, shouldn't go for the reputation of a bowler and instead trusted Pathirana who was on top of his game tonight, Munro missed the trick there
Will there be a Super Over?
Kevin: "West Indies doing the job against Pakistan here.."
Faisal : "It's really heart breaking to see Shaheen down fall in such young age, he should take rest and work on his fitness otherwise things going to bad to worst for him..."
Shahzeb: "Watching Warner giving tips to youngsters in the dugout is amazing! Bring him to PSL, please!!! "
Mani Babar: "I have become so emotionally attached to this team because of Shaheen and Amir. Now they are about to lose ):"
Pathirana will bowl the last over, only got four to defend
