Faf du Plessis, TSK Captain: I think, first of all, we got ourselves into a great batting position, but we weren't good enough in the last eight overs. We lost five wickets for way too few runs, so we felt we were probably 12 to 15 runs short. Credit to the boys for fighting and taking it to the last over. We've now had three games go down to the final over, with two balls to go, and just haven't been able to finish them off. Our finishing has been one of our strengths this season, and I think it comes down to good decision-making. It's really important to have the intent to build partnerships. For the new batter coming in, it always feels a little harder. As the innings progressed, it felt like once we got a partnership going, we could really put the pressure back on. But every time we spent six, seven, eight or nine balls rebuilding that partnership, we lost another wicket. That happened about four times in a row, so it became difficult to build momentum and put the opposition under pressure. That's definitely where we lost the game. Anything is still possible. We've got another game tomorrow, so we'll see you then

Pressure was telling, and the tension was palpable in this engrossing affair. TSK were in a must-win scenario and fought valiantly, picking up wickets at regular intervals and creating chaos. But Dwarshuis became a thorn in TSK's way and played a gem of a knock under pressure. He was a man on a mission, and his 38 off 16 flipped the script. As a result, Washington Freedom have bolstered their chances of making the playoffs. It was also a brilliant knock from Steve Smith, who scored quickly and laid the foundation. Earlier, TSK lost quick wickets after a good stable start, and that cluster of wickets - five in last five overs - meant they couldn't post an above-par score. They needed a few partnerships, but those untimely wickets never allowed them to gain the upper hand. Nevertheless, it made for compelling viewing, and I hope you all enjoyed the game. Time for me, Rvel Zahid, to say goodbye on behalf of Harshith Gowda. Do join us for the second match of the double-header which will start shortly!
