Well, good people, that is all the action from Pomona today. Thank you for tuning in as always. Goodnight and go well.

Steven Smith: "[Finding the perfect balance] I'm not sure. It was a good performance tonight. We had to respond after the other night, and I thought the guys came out and bowled really nicely. It was obviously a tricky wicket to bat on, but our guys hit really good areas, made them hit to parts of the ground that we wanted them to, and did a really good job. [New personnel] I thought Dwarshuis bowled really nicely tonight - just provided something different being a left-armer and was able to hit really good areas and execute good plans throughout. The rest of the bowlers did a great job as well. Netravalkar with the new ball was outstanding, and everyone just chipped in around him. [How did it feel to play a game in Los Angeles at this stadium?] Yeah, it was nice. It was a good atmosphere out here, a nice ground, and a cool setting. I think the more you play on this wicket, it's going to get better and better as well. So, yeah, it was good fun."

Player of the Match, Saurabh Netravalkar: "I'm really grateful to get that platform again, and I'm glad I could execute for the team today. [Assessment of the conditions] Firstly, it's a great vibe here. It's lovely to see the ground, and the assessment was that there was some variable bounce and some swing on offer as well. So we wanted to hit good lengths, hit the top of off, and keep the stumps in play. I think that's all I tried to do - keep it simple. [Optimistic feeling about where cricket in this country is heading?] Absolutely, we've come a long way. We have four or five stadiums now, and season by season the MLC is growing, so these are great signs for the sport in the country."

Jason Holder: "[You chose to bat, would you make the same decision again?] Yeah, I can honestly say we probably misread it a bit today. We weren't too sure, but it looked like a pretty decent surface. It just didn't play as well as we thought. [Surface] It was tough in both phases [batting and bowling]. Even they struggled to get the hundred-odd runs. It wasn't easy, and we've just got to find a way. [Playing the first time in LA] A good atmosphere. The ground has a lot of potential. I think in the coming days it'll get better and better, and hopefully we can see more and more people."

9:50 pm An easy, dominating win for Washington Freedom in the end, as the misery continues for the Los Angeles Knight Riders. Narine provided a spark early on, knocking over Owen with a lovely delivery in the first over. The spin maestro then cleaned up Gous with a nearly identical delivery. While the Knight Riders managed to apply some early pressure, Smith and Chapman held the fort, focusing on rotating the strike to reach 28 for 2 at the end of the powerplay. Chapman then broke the shackles immediately after the restrictions were over, taking on Shadley van Schalkwyk for a six and a four to ease the pressure. Playing some beautiful strokes, Chapman never let the bowlers settle until Russell finally broke the 62-run partnership, getting him caught behind for 34. Smith played the situation and the pitch perfectly, anchoring the chase to finish unbeaten on 40 and steer his side over the line. It is now three defeats in a row for the Knight Riders, who are left wondering where it is all going wrong as they slip to the bottom of the table, while Washington Freedom climb to fourth.
