9.50pm What a display of batting that was from both sides on a pitch the bowlers would have hated. South Africa have sealed the series, and now the two teams will head to Johannesburg where West Indies will look to avoid a whitewash. Thank you for joining us today. That'll be all from us. This is Abhimanyu signing off on behalf of Sudeep, Firdose and everyone else at ESPNcricinfo. Goodnight.

Aiden Markram: "[On the batting] Special to watch. Quinny does what Quinny does and puts on a great show for the crowd to watch and that's what it's all about. Ricks flies under the radar but to get us home back to back is a good effort from him. [On the batting order] We have a pretty good idea about how it looks. Missing a couple of guys still but hopefully they'll be ready to hop in. [On his form] Feeling good. Could have scored more on that wicket but Ricks and Quinny took care of it. Personally feeling good and want to contribute more and more. [On the bowling] For Maharaj to bowl four overs on a pitch like that is credit to him. If not for him we'd be chasing 240 or 250 but in that phase where Keshy bowled brought things back. You got to feel sorry for the bowlers on a pitch like that but with that come some nice lessons. [On Joburg] Hoping for a good wicket and to keep working on the stuff that we have done in the first two games. Bowling and fielding possibly a couple of things to improve on but hopefully by the time we fly to India, we haven't left any stone unturned."
Shai Hope: "[On the batting] Pretty decent. The way the guys went out there with intent. But clearly it was under par. Still feel guys played well. Hetty finding form and Rutherford continuing his form from the SA20. This series is about building up momentum, fine tuning some areas. Think the guys played well in the powerplay. We just got to build from that and continue. [On the bowling] It's always tough bowling in these conditions. As long as we don't execute the way we want, it's always going to be difficult. [On two left-handers batting] Changed our plans a bit. Had to bring in Roston. But glad to see Akeal come in and do well. We just want to keep fighting through. We want to win every game we play but it's about getting the formula that'll help in the World Cup."
Player of the match, QdK: "Nice to be back out here in Proteas colours again. It was an old home ground for me so I am quite familiar with the wicket. We've been in this position before and we know it's high scoring so there wasn't much of a chat. Just padded up and walked out. When you're chasing big totals it's always important to get off to big starts, no matter how good the wicket is. Rickelton batted really well. He's getting used to No. 3 now with the Proteas. He batted really well in the last game and again today which is very good. Hopefully it gives him confidence. I just made a mistake and left some of my bats at home so I had to use one of young Brevis' bats. He did tell me it's a good bat, I gave you a left-hander's bat, whatever the hell that means."
9.30pm Quinton de Kock and Ryan Rickelton made a 222 run chase look ridiculously effortless as both left-handed wicketkeeper batters hit their career best T20I scores. De Kock invoked some deja vu, following up on his only previous T20I century which came at this ground against this team, chasing 259. South Africa snap a streak of five bilateral series defeats. And it's their first home T20I series win over West Indies! They were set a big total, but in the end, they looked in complete control. Markram played his role at the top, and while it feels like a long time ago, he did play the shot of the match. But after that it was all about de Kock and Rickelton. De Kock got going early and never slowed down. Rickelton was given a life on 17 and made the most of it. And once more, South Africa's top order has looked scary. For West Indies, they will be wondering what to do in terms of bowling plans. Their fielding was rather abysmal as well. All in all, after their batting display, it was only downhill in Centurion.
Deo Jagbeer: "Well I did say if WI dont take 3 wkts before SA get to 50 it wiil be all over by 18-19th over." -- I didn't publish it (I think, can't keep track at this point), but you did send that comment in. Touche
Forde to bowl the 18th
dharma: "fastest T20I score chased above 200 - a week ago by india . 2026 is full of records to come on next month T20 WC"

"The weight was out of place for me. It's for youngsters who swing hard," Quinton de Kock says of Dewald Brevis' bat, which he had to use after forgetting to carry his own bats
Concerningly, Lungi Ngidi misses a second match despite being available and this being his domestic home ground
He put on 162 with Ryan Rickleton as SA went 2-0 up, gunning down 222 with 15 balls remaining
After their top three finished off the job in the first T20I against West Indies, South Africa would want their middle-order batters to put in a shift in the second game
