Australia win by five wickets to secure the ODI series and take a 6-4 lead in the multi-format series. That was a statement run chase from the home side. Did it at a canter despite those late wickets. Powerful century from Georgia Voll and some classy strokeplay by Phoebe Litchfield. India a long way short of them in these last two matches.
Hypocaust: "It's now 39 years since Australia women lost a bilateral ODI series on home soil (their last and so far only defeat at home was against New Zealand in 1987). This has to stand as one of the most extraordinary records in the history of the sport, and deserves to be much more widely known and celebrated."
Georgia Voll is player of the match: "Nice to get over the line, thought Phobes was outstanding and made my life easy. We keep things pretty simple, she was smashing them down the other end and I took a little while to get in, then I could expand my game. Complement each other quite well."
Harmanpreet Kaur "Definitely we didn't bat well today...we wanted 300 on the board. Again we make the same mistakes and losing wickets and we were short of a lot of runs. No matter batting first or second, we have to bat really well. In last two games we didn't bat well and that's cost us. Hopefully in the next game we do that."
Alyssa Healy "I'm really pumped with that result. Like I said the other night, I was ecstatic with the way that we went about that chase and to do it again tonight, even better, I thought was outstanding so pretty pleased with that. It was one of those weird ones where I felt like they were well short of a par score [when didn't take early wickets], but at the same time it was frustrating for us. It felt like we could have got them out a little bit earlier, but to keep them to 250 on that sort of wicket was an outstanding effort from our group and we felt pretty well ahead of the halfway mark. We just had to get it done."
That wraps things up for tonight. Australia hitting their stride in the 50-over element of this series. Victory for the home side on Sunday would mean the best India could do would be a share of the overall series with a Test win. We'll be back for that match in a couple of days, which is again in Hobart, but for now, from Gnasher and Alex, it's goodbye.
Slip in place. McGrath probably wishing she didn't have to bat
Akshay J: "Lots of very fair criticism of India on commentary there. Absolutely no pressure put on the two batsmen who have not batted much this series. "
