Player of the Match

That's all from our side for this game. See you soon.

Mitchell Santner: It was good. It looked tricky with the bat early on but we got a decent score. The blueprint with the ball was to hit the hard lengths. Looking at the with Kesh bowled, when you slowed it up, there was some help from the pitch. It was nice to get an above-par score in the end. The crowds have been outstanding and hope the same will follow.

Keshav Maharaj: I think we bowled really well but lost our way with the bat. There was dew but the pitch got worse to bat on. As a seam-bowling unit, the guys have done really well. And there was some salvaging from George with the bat, so there were some positives. It's good to have fans whereever we go.

Devon Conway, Player of the Match: It was trying to build a partnership, trying to calm myself down. Facing a bowler from around the wicket was something new for me. It has been pretty quite a few months for me, going to India and not featuring in the World Cup. I have played with some of the South Africa guys growing up and if they speak Afrikaans I can understand.

10.20pm A comprehensive win for New Zealand to level the series 1-1. After being sent in, they posted a solid 175 for 6, thanks to a fifty from Conway and a cameo from Clarkson at the end. Then their bowlers handcuffed the South Africa batters. They were 31 for 2 after the powerplay, which became 31 for 3 after one more ball. Apart from Hermann and Linde, every South Africa batter struggled. Hermann's contribution was too little, Linde's too late. In the end, it was a 68-run win for New Zealand.
