6.31pm That's stumps on the first day of the first-ever women's Test at Lord's. Bouchier and Knight walk back to warm applause. England have fought back brilliantly to dismiss India for 285 from 190 for 3. It was Mandhana's wicket that triggered the slide. Spinners Eccelestone and Villiers shared five wickets on a day-one surface that offered sharp turn. Along the way,  Ecclestone became England's highest wicket-taker across formats and the third-highest wicket-taker overall, behind Deepti and Jhulan Goswami.

In response to India's 285, England lost Beaumont, who is featuring in her final Test, for 2 in the fourth over before Bouchier and Knight ushered the hosts to stumps without any further damage. Rana found turn in the only over she bowled and that will encourage India tomorrow. Until then, this is Deivarayan Muthu signing off on the behalf of Alan Gardner and Sudeep Poojar.
