That's it for now. End of the series effectively. India will likely make one or two more changes. Afghanistan's bowlers will need to pick things up in Chennai. Find out on Saturday if they can. Lots of cricket in between. Do catch it all here on Cricinfo.

Shubman Gill, India captain and POTM: Little sore, got a lot of cramps in different areas. It was really hot. I batted for 40-45 overs. Much better now. I'm in a good space. Ball's going exactly where I want to go. I'm confident. I had a target ahead of the series to finish matches and bat for 40-45 overs. I was aiming for 200, but had to kept hitting shots. Wanted to take the score to 430, but found deep cover. Toss didn't make much of a difference. If we'd gotten a target of 310-320, it'd have been good pressure on the group. All in a good space. Pacers keep hitting the deck and areas consistently which isn't easy.

Hashmatullah Shahidi, Afghanistan captain: You can't put all things on toss. Our bowling wasn't good. We gave them momentum in the first 20 overs. It was hot, but at the same time, you have to bowl well. We didn't win today. Hope we learn from this. Rasooli was cramping. I asked him if he's okay. He was and I told him to go before him. We needed someone to hit big but unfortunately he got cramps again. It's been a tough series, hope we did well in Chennai. Rahmat and Gurbaz are positives but we need to be up to the mark in bowling.

Arshdeep Singh: Feels good. Good to see new faces stepping up and taking wickets. I'm enjoying what happens on and off the field and ensuring not having regrets of not putting 100%. (Chat during hat-trick) No idea I was on a hat-trick, so there was no chat. Now I regret it. Gurnoor and Prince are confident. They're ready to go and hungry for success and take wickets for fun.

AE: "The last 7 wickets fell for 104 in AFG innings that's 60 more than India. Clearly showing how India botched since Gills wicket."

9:22pm: All smiles in the India camp. That was very comfortable. They batted out Afghanistan and the chase never took off. Gurbaz started well but fell in the forties. Their top-four batters did well but didn't go big... or fast in a 400-plus chase. Prince overstepped and missed a wicket. Gurnoor then took over. Kuldeep was great but had no wickets to show for. Washington was economical.
