7:06pm That will be all from us for day two. Sreshth's report should be up soon and that should be your one-stop shop in case you missed out on any of the action. We will be back again tomorrow as NZ look to close out the game and Ireland hope to mount a comeback. Until then, from all of us here at ESPNcricinfo, it is goodbye!
7pm A nice, little run-out for the Kiwi bowlers and for the Ireland top order towards the end of the day. Doheny has lasted much longer than his vigil earlier in the day, and has looked increasingly confident too. Balbirnie looked good at the crease as well until he was undone by Tickner. Carmichael also fell before the close of play, meaning that Ireland have only eight wickets in hand to get the 246 runs that would push this game into a fourth innings.
NZ will be pleased with their efforts overall. They enforced the follow-on and have made inroads, despite their bowlers having to bowl for a good chunk of the day. They will now want to finish off the job tomorrow and will be hopeful of doing so after their exploits today.
