6.55pm More broadcasting issues mean we won't be able to bring the quotes from the presentation ceremony to you. So on behalf of Fidel, whose report will be up soon, Ranjith and everyone at ESPNcricinfo, it's Abhimanyu bidding you adieu.

6.43pm Sri Lanka have won the first ODI by 41 runs and they have a 1-0 lead. West Indies find themselves in more trouble in the ODI rankings table. Kusal Mendis starts off well as the skipper, leading from the front with a quickfire fifty. Pathum Nissanka provided ample support before Charith Asalanka and Janith Liyanage made the most of the late stages of the innings to take Sri Lanka to 303 on what looked like a bowler-friendly pitch. West Indies had a great start to the chase, but then lost their openers in quick time after a 50-run stand. Shai Hope and Keacy Carty then dug in with a 50-plus stand of their own but a Kamindu Mendis blinder turned the game around before Dushmantha Chameera got rid of Hope. Chameera then used the reverse swing brilliantly to run through the tail and seal the win.

Asalanka to Seales, OUT, Caught at point and that's that. Sri Lanka begin the Gary Kirsten era with a win. It's Sri Lanka's first ODI win at West Indies since 2013, and it's been a clinical performance from them. Seales skips out to this full ball and slices it straight in the air as he looks to slog it down the ground. Simple catch taken, and it'[s a good win capped off by Sri Lanka

ruki: "This match is going on forever? is the over rate slow or was there a stoppage in the middle? game started 12:30AM in melboure and its 9:36AM and still not over" -- Both teams have been penalised for slow over rate while bad light led to a short delay now. So yeah, go figure.

Alright, we are good to continue

Sorry, the feed has been cut due to a broadcast issue at the stadium. We will bring you details as soon as we can! Oh wait, we haven't lost any action because play was stopped for bad light. West Indies need 43 runs in eight balls, and I don't see why they can't just call it a day and hand the win to Sri Lanka, but we'll have to wait. Players are on the pitch only as we await. I think one of the lights have gone off, that's caused this delay.

Chameera to Seales, 1 no ball, Looks for the yorker and dug back out to the bowler. But wait, it's no ball for overstepping

Chameera is only the third Sri Lankan bowler to pick four or more wickets in an ODI in West Indies against West Indies.
