10:37pm Another tight game in the BBL, and these seem to be coming through almost everyday. We will be back tomorrow for more BBL action, and we do have more games lined up today as well from different parts of the world. Until next time, from all of us here at ESPNcricinfo, it is goodbye!

Joel Davies, Player of the Match: I have not played a game like that before. It was scrappy, we pride ourselves in winning from any position and that was one of those. Fortunate enough to bowl first. Came on better in the second innings. Got ourselves into trouble. The fast bowlers set it up completely and I was lucky (to come in after). When Hayden came out, it was about just batting.

10:32pm A nervy run-chase. And a game full of nerves. The Sixers were in the box seat at the break but soon, they were not, slipping to 56-7. Thankfully for them, they had a deep batting unit and that shone through, with Davies and Kerr putting on a solid unbeaten stand. Neither baulked at the pressure, kept milking the bowling and when the situation demanded, found the requisite number of hits towards the end.

The Heat will be a tad disappointed. They did not have a truckload of runs on the board, but they got into a situation where they may have even considered themselves favourites. But in the end, they just did not have enough to play with and one partnership was all the Sixers needed to put the game beyond them.

Patterson to Kerr, SIX, Kerr finishes off the job in style! And the Sixers, after being pushed very hard, emerge with two vital points! Half-tracker outside off and this sits up. Kerr stands up tall and whacks it clean over cow corner. Hugs, smiles and embraces in the Sixers camp, and in the stands. This was a game they should have won far more comfortably, but they will take the win for now and move!

Field comes in further. Just three needed now

Patterson to Davies, 1 run, full toss speared into the pads. Davies glances it straight to short fine leg and has to settle for a single

4
Patterson to Davies, FOUR, Davies with what could be the telling blow! Wide half-volley and that is too easy for Davies. He leans into it and crashes it past extra cover!

Arman: "this has to be one of the deepest quality batting lineups ever" -- And they have had to use almost every bit of it tonight...

1w
Patterson to Davies, 1 wide, back to back wides! This is shorter but the radar is still iffy. Davies swings at it and misses, and sees the umpire standing at the other end with his arms outstretched

1w
Patterson to Davies, 1 wide, full and sliding down leg. Davies misses it and the umpire, after a bit of thought, calls it a wide

Patterson to Davies, 2 runs, length ball on the pads. Davies clips it enough to deep mid wicket's left and Kerr charges back for the second. Good hustle

12 off 12. Power Surge taken as well, as is the norm. Will this suit the Heat, with more fielders up and singles tougher to get? Patterson to bowl
