Perth Scorchers win by 32 runs and move up to second. This late stand narrowed the margin, but Strikers ended well short. The problem of their season: not enough from the middle order. But it was always going to be a tall order to chase down 232. Mitchell Marsh led the Scorchers' batting effort, backed up by Finn Allen, Josh Inglis, Aaron Hardie and Ashton Turner. Alex Carey and Matt Short gave Strikers hope in the chase, but once Chris Lynn fell things fell away. Cooper Connolly and David Payne good with the ball. Very tough for Strikers to play finals now. Scorchers well placed for a dip at hosting the grand final. That just about wraps things up for tonight. Plenty of cricket still going around the world, including the India-New Zealand ODI. From Gnasher and the scoring team, goodnight and thanks for joining us.
