2.6 Wood has the last laugh, and a groan engulfs the Gabba! This, to be fair to Munro, is also in the slot. Slanting into middle and off, but the mistake Munro makes is he tries to go too square. Swipes at it, misses and hears the rattling of his stumps soon after. Timely breakthrough for the Strikers! 31/2
1.2 shanked and gone! No Wildermuth party tonight! Angled in on a hard length on leg stump. Wildermuth skips down but is cramped for room. Cannot free his arms and the ball gets a touch big on him too. Splices it up and mid on completes the easiest of catches! 8/1
8.5 miscued, and taken! Smart bowling by the Strikers skipper. Hangs it up on a length wide outside off, perhaps pre-empting the charge. Renshaw continues with it anyway and swishes at it rather wildly in the end. Skews it off the outer half of the bat and Sangha, on as a sub, back-pedals from extra cover before taking it in front of his face. Heat in a spot of bother now! 74/4
6.2 holes out to long on, and Short has an instant impact! Back of a length on middle and leg, and this seems to skid on a touch more than the batter expects. Weibgen cannot extend his arms the way he wants and he picks out Overton to absolute perfection. A bit of a CSK job that, with Short the bowler and Overton the catcher, and the Heat are three down now! 55/3
15.5 sharp bumper, and Hasan gets the big fish! Well, that is a gutsy ball, and it has gotten Hasan the reward he wanted. Just outside off and this climbs through to Bryant. He is taken by surprise and cannot therefore adjust in time. Has a flat-batted swat at it and the ball spoons up for Short to gobble up the chance at mid off. Top knock, though! 150/6
12.2 simple catch, and Pope has his first wicket! Pushes this across on a length outside off. Alsop wanted to target the shorter leg side fence and went for the slog. Shanked it, though, and Wadia, stood well inside the long on fence, did the rest! 98/5
19.4 full and wide. Peirson laces it but cannot get it past deep point. He decides to come back for the second but that was always a dangerous proposition. The throw is not great but Peirson is so far out that Nielsen can collect the throw and then relay it onto the stumps. A full-stretch dive cannot save Peirson either! 177/9
18.2 another high ball, and another wicket! Seems like another change-up. Lands in the slot on middle stump and Bartlett is tempted into a slog. Gets under it way too much, though, and Harvey does the rest well inside the deep mid wicket fence! 168/7
19.2 this has gone a mile up too, and pouched! Full just outside off. Shaheen has another agricultural mow and gets plenty of height on it. No shape on the stroke, though, meaning the ball goes nowhere. Nielson calls early and with the gloves on, makes no mistake! 174/8

17.2 Short shanks it, and Bartlett takes out his opposite number! Dug into the track outside off and this seems to hold a little. Short a tad early into his swipe and the bottom hand comes off as he swipes at it. Cloths it straight to long on, and this topsy-turvy game turns again! 156/6
7.1 goes straight up, and Lynn's struggles come to an end! Dug into the track on off and this skids through. Lynn wants to swat this away but is awfully late on the stroke. The ball pops up off the splice and Bartlett, in his follow-through, accepts the offering! 57/1
7.3 Popped to mid on, and Bartlett is turning this game around! Shortish just outside off and this seems to stick just a shade in the surface. Harvey has a half-hearted tug at it and does not go through with the shot. Chips it tamely and mid on times his jump to perfection to pile further trouble on the Strikers! 57/2
8.5 Scott bites the dust! Given a bit of air and Scott is tempted into going downtown. Hares down the track but is nowhere to the pitch of the ball. Has to reach out and ends up lobbing it straight to long on. Heat chipping away now! 64/3
12.2 bowled'im round his legs! Darted in full on middle and leg. Manenti pre-meditates the sweep and walks across early. Kuhnemann probably pre-empts that stroke too and quickens his pace. Manenti, in the end, walks too far across to access the ball, and sees his leg stump pegged back! 104/4
14.1 Brilliant grab by Peirson, and that is a huge moment in the game! Low full toss on middle and off. Overton, rather than trying to bash it, looks for something cuter. Tried to flick it into the spaces but gets it terribly wrong. The ball swirls off the top edge and Peirson, calling for it early, completes the catch in the short square leg region! 120/5
18.3 nicked and gone! And is that the game?! Length ball pushed across the batter wide outside off. Wadia's eyes light up and he throws the kitchen sink at it. Only manages a feather, though, and Peirson cannot believe the offering that has come his way. The Heat do not just have a sniff now, they are smelling a win! 163/8
18.1 Off-pace on a back of a length outside off. Wadia sits back and slaps it over extra cover. The third is on for all money but Wood, somehow, ends up way short of his ground on the third. Not sure what happened there. Some hesitation as Wood turned, and that was all the Heat needed. 162/7
19.5 That has gone a mile up, and taken! That is all over Red Rover, and the youngster on debut has done the job for the Brisbane Heat! On the shorter side, tucking Nielsen up just outside leg. He swipes at it because he has no other choice and the ball spirals off the top edge. Fine leg settled under it nervously, indulges in a bit of a shimmy right at the end but most crucially, holds on, much to the delight of the thousands of Heat fans in the stands! 172/10
19.1 Hasan Ali perishes, and this game goes back and forth again! Some moment to get your first BBL wicket, eh? Dug in short. Hasan thinks he can smite this over long on. Shanks it completely and long on does not err in his catching! 170/9
