That's that. A whirlwind game which ends with RR comfortably defeating SRH by 42 runs and will now wait for GT in Qualifier 2. They have an unbeaten record in New Chandigarh. Will that continue? We will find out in two days' time. Thanks for tuning in this evening. If you missed any of the action, KK's report has you covered. Until the next game, this is me, Ashish signing off on behalf of Sudeep, Ranjith and Abhimanyu. Ciao!
Vaibhav Sooryavanshi is unsurprisingly the Player of the Match: We have won so we will celebrate and try and do well in the next game. I don't think much about the bowlers, try to just play my game. [On his preparation for the game] I try to just analyse how to face the bowlers, judge the length of the boundaries. When I am showing good intent, the bowler is under pressure. [Missing the fastest century record] I got to know after the game. My focus was on hitting a six. I will score centuries in future but the focus was on getting maximum runs for the team. I just work on my plan and if there are any shortcomings, I just try to work on that.
Riyan Parag, RR captain: I like to be a perfectionist, but even today we should have got 260 right? But with the ball we were impressive, held our own. It was a good performance under pressure. [On talks with VS] We don't have any conversations. Just leave him alone. We give him a lot of batting practice and he does his thing. [Playing two must-wins game helped?] You could say that. It also brings out the best among people. Everyone has turned up more in these last two games. [On conversations with Archer] We keep on having banters. He is one of the best if not the best in T20 cricket, bowling at 150 clicks. [Plans for GT] I think rest tomorrow. We have had a great day. I will definitely be recovering and resting. GT are next.
Rohit: "I can't imagine the kind of records VS can break if he plays like this till he is 40. He will be on Top of every list by the time he is 30 or even sooner."
SandyKam: "GT, SRH same story. Dependent heavily on 3 batters and if they fail, you are done. RR also in same boat, but they got lucky today with Baby Boss delivering. RCB on the other hand are solid until 8, hence deserving winners."
Jofra Archer: I bowled alright. Usually the team that gets most wickets in the powerplay wins, and we did that. [Bowling to the SRH top order] You just got to hold your nerve. Your good balls and bad balls are going to the boundary so you have to hang in there. [On Sooryavanshi] It was very exciting. The more runs he scores, the more runs we have to defend. He can get 150. [How to bowl to Sooryavanshi] I'll tell you after the IPL. [Road to the final] One game at a time. We are going at the right direction. We don't want to happen to us what happened to Kings XI.
Pat Cummins, SRH captain: [On Vaibhav Sooryavanshi] He played pretty well. A very good pitch but the margins are so small, you miss our yorker but he doesn't miss. Pretty good wicket. We are a very well rounded team. [On the newer bowlers in the team] Praful and Sakib were great. We are one of the youngest team to get into the playoffs, and the coaching team have unearthed a few gems. [On the chase] A few teams things have to go right to chase 245 but we lost a couple of wickets at the wrong time. One tiny bit away from being in the top two, but can't doubt the boys' efforts.
11.25pm RR are going to Qualifier 2. SRH are going home. And this has been a royal thumping by RR, who win the game by 47 runs. All smiles in the RR camp. They came into this game with a 3-0 record at New Chandigarh, they have made it 4-0. The win was set up by a jaw-dropping 29-ball 97 by 15-year-old boy winder Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. His innings helped RR storm to 243, which believe it or not felt a touch underpar. But Jofra Acrher bowled like the wind in the powerplay, nipping out Travis Head, Abhishek Sharma and Ishan Kishan. Once that happed, and Punja removed Klaasen it was curtains for SRH. RR will now remain at New Chandigarh and will play GT on May 29 in Q2. Can they make it five in five?
