Well, that ended quite quickly. That wraps up our coverage from Windhoek for today. This is Rashad signing off on behalf of Abhijato and Chetan. Goodbye!

Oliver Peake: "[Seamers] They were first class today. Probably the most impressive thing for me was the communication between all the bowlers and putting in place the plans that we had set. I was very impressed today. [Byrom's fifer] Yeah, it is no surprise for me. He gets me out for fun in the nets. I certainly know what he can do, and it was great for him to show the world. [Clinical catching] You are always trying to take every chance that comes your way. But today it was just one of those days where everything stuck. Unfortunately for the Sri Lankans, they edged everything. I feel like in the first two games we got a lot of play-and-misses, so it all caught up with us today. It was just a great display. [Team combination] I think every single bloke in the fifteen could come in at any stage. Guys who missed out today have played a great part so far in the tournament. Against each opposition, we will reassess and pick accordingly. [Next Match] We played them [South Africa] in a practice match before the tournament as well and bowled really well. We got off to a great start against them, and then the rain came. I think we match up pretty well, and hopefully we can take them on and continue our good form."

Vimath Dinsara: "Very disappointed with the performance. They bowled really well. But today was not our day. We are very happy to go through to the second round. I think we will focus game by game. We will do our best [Against Afghanistan]."

Player of the Match, Will Byrom: "Felt pretty good, to be honest. My fellow opening partner, Lachmund, got an early one, so I just thought I would go with him. We had a good chat before the game. Our coach, Tim Nielsen, was just saying that the first half hour is key, whether you are batting or bowling. He told me if it is your day with the ball, just make sure you keep going for as long as you can. [Coming into this tournament] Yeah, late addition. I was pretty disappointed not to get picked initially, but Tim rang me saying I was going to be a reserve player. I just had to keep working hard in the gym and keep my bowling loads up. Then I got the call to come over here, which was pretty exciting. I just wanted to make sure that if I got the opportunity to play, I would grab it with both hands. [Close-knit fast bowling group?] Yes, very close. We work pretty hard together, as we saw today. As I said before, Lachmund getting an earlier one kind of got me going just to try and go with him. Then Schiller and Kasey [Barton] came on to keep the pressure on and take wickets as well. It was a great display."

12:36 pm Australia kept their unbeaten run alive, and they did it in style to climb to the top of the points table. Sri Lanka actually got the start they dreamed of when Rasith bowled the in-form opener Malajczuk with a brilliant inswinging delivery. While the new ball continued to move and cause problems, the Sri Lankan seamers struggled to keep their line and length consistent during the early part of the chase. Hogan and Samuel handled the early pressure well, playing smart cricket and rotating the strike to keep the scoreboard moving. Even a drizzle could not slow the Aussies down as they easily chased the small target of 59 runs. Captain Oliver Peake mentioned that they planned to attack the Lankan batters with pace during the toss earlier, and they executed that strategy perfectly in the first innings. With handshakes and smiles all around the field, Sri Lanka will need to head back to the drawing board to figure out how to handle quality seam bowling. Stay with us for the post-match presentations.
