5.18pm So, handshakes all round. It's a fourth Super Sixes loss for South Africa, who will be disappointed at their showing in a de facto home tournament. But they put up a good fight, principally through their centurion Jorich van Schalkwyk. In the end, Sri Lanka were too strong. Particularly Viran Chamuditha, but also the leggie Akash, whose four wickets were the key reason why South Africa couldn't post something more imposing.
As for Sri Lanka, they must now wait and see what favours ireland can do for them tomorrow. Afghanistan are strong favourites to join Australia in the semi-finals, but a defeat will allow Sri Lanka to join them instead.
