13.5 history for Italy, and their first World Cup wicket is finally here! More relief than utter jubilation, though. Dug in short outside off. There to be hit but Munsey just does not get the elevation he wants. Knew as soon as the ball left his bat that he was in trouble and H Manenti does the rest at long on. Munsey falls 16 short of a hundred, but he has set this innings up very nicely! 126/1
14.5 sharp grab at extra cover, and Italy have two in two overs! Lobbed up on a length outside off. Jones looks to thrash this through the off side but cannot keep his drive down. Slaps it uppishly towards extra cover, where H Manenti snaps down low to his left and snaffles it up. Top work in the field, and Italy have taken out both set batters in consecutive overs! 136/2

18.5 nicked and taken this time! The plan pays off! Another change-up, angling across the batter on a length outside off. Berrington blinks, Hasan does not, and all Berrington manages in the end is a feather through to Meade. Italy have their third, and Scotland's skipper has to trudge off! 184/3
19.1 skewed up, and Italy racking up the wickets now! Slower ball on a full length on middle and off. Bruce swishes himself off his feet and loses all shape. The ball goes straight up off the outer half of the bat and backward point running back makes no mistake! 185/4

0.1 First-ball wicket and Leask strikes! A dreamy phase for Leask who is doing it all. Shortish ball outside off, Justin goes deep in the crease and slashes hard. Hits it aerially towards backward point, where Munsey dives to his right and takes it. Scotland into the wicket-taking act very early! 0/1
4.4 another slice, and another Italy batter bites the dust! Shortish outside off and just a bit of extra kick on this. A bit of tennis ball bounce, meaning that Anthony cannot control his cut. Slices it towards backward point, where Munsey lunges forward to his left and snares the chance. Italy in deep trouble now! 40/3
3.1 popped to short extra cover, and Smuts falls! On a fullish length outside off and this holds in the surface. Smuts wanted to drive on the up but had to check his shot after the ball held up. Could not do so adequately enough and Berrington, prowling to his right, did the rest. Big wicket for Scotland this, and a gigantic wicket to lose for Italy! 32/2
12.1 Leask delivers for Scotland again, and Italy have been rocked! Pushed across on a fullish length on off. Harry wants to go downtown but slices across it a little too much. Munsey is placed perfectly at long off, and Leask is absolutely pumped. That could be a pivotal moment in this contest! 113/4
13.6 oh no, says Ben the moment the ball leaves the bat, and he is now back in the shed! Flighted up full outside off and this drops on the batter late. Ben wanted to go inside out but he had to reach out in front, meaning he chipped it rather tamely towards long off. Davidson with a celebration that seems to have irked Ben, but this might just be the game! 129/5
14.1 another high ball, and another Leask scalp! Italy in free-fall now. On a back of a length on middle and off. Stewart tries to muscle it into the sightscreen off the back foot but he cannot free his arms enough. Munsey races in from long off, and sends Stewart on his way. Scotland can sense it now! 129/6
14.4 Meade chips it straight down long on's throat, and Italy falling apart rather quickly now! Tossed up on a fullish length on leg stump. Meade does not get close enough to the ball and does not display enough conviction either. Catching practice for McMullen, and Leask has four! 130/7

15.6 Italy running out of steam! Watt throws up the invitation on a full length on off. Draca chances his luck but does not generate the requisite power. Easiest of catches for McMullen at long on, and Italy's historic day now on the brink of ending in defeat! 133/8
16.4 there it is! Another high ball pouched, and Scotland put one past Italy to get on the board! Banged in short just outside off. Hasan has a wild swish at it and the ball goes straight up. Berrington turns around at extra cover, takes a few paces and then completes the catch. A convincing display in the end, and Scotland will be very pleased with that! 134/10
