"When T20 cricket started, we thought it was a joke but now, everyone wants to play it and Bravo is at the top, with 500 wickets. We as West Indians are very very proud of him," says Kieron Pollard. "And now he's at the stage of his career where he's mentoring the next generation. Oh it's good, sometimes you'll have to help your friends as well [on Pollard being the man Bravo has dismissed the most times in T20s]. The way we gathered our squad, we have kept the core of the team, couple of guys go out, couple of guys come in, they have hunger. Every person has a role here and when they get the opportunity they know exactly what to do. That's why we succeed"

To last 14 years in this game, and pick up 500 wickets - the very first player to ever get to that mark - you'd have to push past all sorts of obstacles and he's done that. But funnily enough, he ain't ready to stop. He'll fly to the IPL after this. He'll turn up any place a team that wants him will have him and, next year, he'll probably be wearing his favourite maroon jersey at a ground somewhere in India and running in with the T20 World Cup on the line.
