Scorer: Sudeep Poojar | Commentator: Shashwat Kumar

1:56pm So, over to India now. SA have done their bit. If India win, they go through. if India do not win, they go home. Lots riding on that game, apart from it being an India-Australia fixture, which anyway might be one of the biggest games at any women's World Cup (irrespective of format), so make sure you tune in. We hope you enjoyed our coverage and until next time, it is goodbye from all of us here at Cricinfo!

Laura Wolvaardt, South Africa captain: Not the way we would have liked to finish it, got a lot closer than it needed to be. We were excellent, started really well with the ball. Let them get too many at the end, would have wanted to restrict them to 100 and less. If we were chasing 140 or more, would have been a tricky chase. They bowled some really slow spin, always going to be tough on a slow wicket. We just tried to knock it around instead of sticking to our stronger options. (On if she will be watching the Australia-India game) Definitely, I will. Go Aussies!

Nigar Sultana Joty, Bangladesh captain: We lost early wickets, but Sobhana played very well, they (our batters) were hanging in there. We could not get runs in the middle part. Finished it well but at the end of the day, we are 10-15 runs short and it cost us. I should thank all my bowlers and fielders for the effort they put in till the last ball and the last run. Really makes me feel proud. We came here to win games, we won two but we wanted more. I am really proud of the way each and everyone gave 100%. Lots of learning for us to take from here.

Marizanne Kapp, Player of the Match: (On her bowling) A bit disappointed that I did not attack the stumps more. But the whole bowling unit has been good today. We started off very well. They are allowed to have some partnerships and play good shots. Let them get a bit more (than we would have liked). (On her and SA's batting) We seemed to always do this, but we take the win. A win is a win. Even if it was very scrappy.

1:43pm A bit of a slow burn at the start, but what a finish we got at the end. Nervy, tense and where it felt one ball could change the outcome. In the end, SA did just enough. Just enough. And there is no further way to emphasize that. Wolvaardt fell off the first ball. Brits could not get going either, but Dercksen did and that, plus the boundaries de Klerk and Tryon mustered at the end, means SA are still in contention for a semi-final spot.

Take nothing away from Bangladesh, though. They may have been conservative with the bat, but they showed immense heart with the ball. They kept fighting, with their spinners keeping a lid on the scoring rate. But they just did not have enough runs to play with and that, eventually, came back to haunt them.

Marufa Akter to Tryon, 1 run, another miscue, and it carries just beyond the ring! SA are alive, and the semi-final race stays alive going into the final match of the group phase! Fullish outside off. Tryon has a wild whoosh at it and gets enough on it to chip it over extra cover. A very streaky way to get the job done but the key detail today is that they have got the job done. A roaring effort from Bangladesh and they can walk off the field with their head held high, but that win against a really top side still remains elusive!

Marufa Akter to Tryon, FOUR, oh, Chloe Tryon! A streaky outside edge but they all count the same! Back of a length outside off. Tryon has a hard-handed jab at it and the ball squirts away past short third. Bangladesh are heart-broken!

Phew. How have we gotten here? SA still need 5 to stay in touch with a semi-final spot. Marufa to bowl. Tryon on strike. World Cup on the line for SA. Here we go!

Ritu Moni to Jafta, no run, back of a length on off. Jafta wants to drop and run into the off side but Moni is swift off her mark to deny them that opportunity

Jafta the new batter in. SA looking very nervy now

Ritu Moni to de Klerk, OUT, a massive shank, and it is taken! Is there life in this game still?! Slower ball hidden on a length outside off. de Klerk tries to fetch it to the shorter leg side but she miscues it terribly. Shorna runs in from deep mid wicket and dives forward to complete a superb catch. A pumped-up celebration, and SA are still five off where they want to be!
