Thank you for your insightful comments and for following our coverage. For now, it's goodbye from me, Rvel Zahid and Rashad Mahbub. We'll see you soon for the second game of the double-header; in-fact, the coverage has already started. You can follow the game between KK and HHK here
Kusal Mendis, Player of the Match: Compared to the last match, it was a slightly different wicket but similar conditions. Babar and I played really well in the powerplay. We had a chat and decided not to lose wickets, knowing we could catch up on the run rate later. Set batters can hit better and it's difficult for a new batter to charge straight away
Lahore were abysmal today, folding on 97! Peshawar were exceptional with the ball; they've got such a well-oiled bowling machine, especially their spin-attack. Iftikhar was economical, Bracewell picked up three timely scalps and applied the brakes in the powerplay. Muqeem has been the star of the show in this PSL, the highest wicket-taker, while Nahid has been troubling the batters with his searing pace -- always exciting to watch. It's been a spectacle watching him crank it up. As a result of this win, Peshawar remain on top with 9 points, unbeaten. Once again, it was Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis who laid the foundations for a par score on a spicy pitch that had plenty for both pacers and spinners. Shaheen Afridi was the pick of the bowlers for Lahore, returning 3-22, while Mustafizur Rahman showed his quality, snaring two and keeping it under 8 per over. Lahore stuttered and stammered right from the word go and there was a sense of panic in their attempt to chase the target as wickets kept tumbling at regular intervals. Simply a mismatch and a defeat that might spur Lahore into action because often they are slow starters but peak at the right time

Shadow-Shell: "LQ wishes they had Babar on their side"
Ashfaq Ahmed : "Sick of this Babar Azam debate. Let him play. There a lot of topics to be discussed. Fragile PCT middle order. Lack of good death bowlers. Lack of quality all rounders. Lack of finishers etc etc. It seems Pakistan team is only comprised of Babar Azam.
Aboodi: "Yep Samad absolutely correct, batters need to score at a run a ball in t20s. Might I remind you this same team in 2024 which played "carefully" with Babar and Rizwan lost to USA and Ireland? Remind me again which team won the T20 World Cup? Was it the team that played "carefully", whatever that means?"
