A 49-ball 64 in the final of the T20 World Cup against England and 238 runs overall in seven innings, which earned her the Player-of-the-Tournament award, have propelled Beth Mooney to the top of the Women's T20I batting rankings, past team-mate Georgia Voll, who had an average time of it in Australia's title-winning run, scoring 130 runs in seven innings.

Mooney, who won the Player-of-the-Match award for her innings in the final, which Australia won by seven wickets for their seventh title, has now been the No. 1 T20I batter in the world five times, and been there for over four years combined.

The performance at the World Cup, and especially the final, underscored Mooney's big-game temperament. She has now scored half-centuries in four consecutive global tournament finals. She had also been the Player of the Match in the final of the 2023 T20 World Cup for her 53-ball 74 not out as Australia beat South Africa by 19 runs. Mooney is also the first to win multiple Player-of-the-Tournament awards at World Cups, adding to her achievement at the home T20 World Cup in 2020.

Of the other big movers after the T20 World Cup, Tazmin Brits has risen three places to 11th after scoring 51 in the semi-final against England, while Nat Sciver-Brunt's 75 in that match and 58 not out in the final have helped her move up five spots to 16th.

N Shree Charani has held on to the top spot in the T20I bowlers' rankings, while Sophie Ecclestone has gone past team-mate Charlie Dean to second place after taking a wicket each in the semi-final and the final.

Kim Garth's economical spell in the final - 1 for 20 from four overs - has earned her a five-slot rise to 15th, while Marizanne Kapp has gone up four spots to move back into the top ten after her 1 for 16 from four overs in the semi-final.
