Gerwyn Price darts titles, prize money, career history, more

Former world champion Gerwyn Price is one of the most recognisable players in the sport thanks in part to his larger-than-life onstage persona and explosive style at the oche.

A former professional rugby player -- he represented Wales under-19s and a host of clubs before turning to darts full time -- Price has been world No. 1 on three occasions from 2021 to 2022, the best spell of his career to date.

It was during that period that he lifted the world championship during the COVID-19 pandemic. Price, commonly known as Gezzy, has struggled to get back to that same level in the years since, but has recently shown signs that he might be returning to his best.

Once being regarded as a villain by the notoriously fickle darts crowds whose jeers memorably prompted Price to wear ear defenders during his World Championship quarterfinal against Gabriel Clemens on New Year's Day in 2023, the Welshman is now one of the most popular players on tour.
