The Carolina Hurricanes entered the Stanley Cup Final as -155 favorites to win the title, with the underdog Vegas Golden Knights at +130. After Vegas pulled off the road victory in an epic back-and-forth Game 1, the Cup odds have exactly flipped, as the Golden Knights are now favored at -155 and the Hurricanes are +130.
Carolina and Vegas were two of the most favored teams by sportsbooks throughout the regular season and playoffs, with the former entering the campaign as a +750 co-favorite and the latter starting close behind at +900. The Canes were a second-best +475 at the beginning of the postseason, while the Golden Knights were a fourth-best 10-1.
Bookmakers are fully expecting the bounce-back angle for Game 2, as the Hurricanes are -162 on the moneyline, slightly better than the -155 odds they opened with for Game 1, with the Knights at +136. The total is once again at 5.5, shaded to the over at -130, despite nine goals in Game 1.
