The MTN8 will kick off with defending champions Orlando Pirates in action against Durban City on Saturday, before African champions Mamelodi Sundowns play Polokwane City.
Sunday's action will see AmaZulu play Sekhukhune United, while Kaizer Chiefs face Golden Arrows.
The tournament pits the top eight teams from last season's South African Premiership against each other in a single-leg knockout format - bar the semi-finals, which are played over two legs (home and away for each team).
As last season's Premiership champions, Orlando Pirates are the top seed and will face the eighth-placed team from the final league standings, Durban City.
Sundowns, who were runners-up domestically and won the CAF Champions League, will face Polokwane City due to the fact that Rise and Shine finished seventh in the league.
Chiefs vs. Arrows will be a clash between the third and sixth seeds, while the fixture between AmaZulu and Sekhukhune will be an encounter between fourth and fifth.

Orlando Pirates vs. Durban City
The Bucs will host Durban City in a repeat of the fiery May South African Premiership clash, which ended in a 0-0 draw after City successfully frustrated the title-chasing Buccaneers.
Pirates had the last laugh eventually as they sealed their first league title in 14 years with a 2-0 win over Orbit College.
Khalil Ben Youssef -- formerly co-coach of Chiefs' rivals, Orlando Pirates -- is now Durban City boss. He was extremely critical of the Buccaneers after April's 1-1 Soweto Derby draw, implying that they had attempted to intimidate his team physically in a pre-match scuffle rather than focusing on football. Pirates head coach Abdeslam Ouaddou had been just as critical of his Kaizer Chiefs side's robust style of play.
With all the recent history behind this fixture, it is difficult to imagine a better curtain-raiser for this season's MTN8.

Mamelodi Sundowns vs. Polokwane City
Mamelodi Sundowns will host Polokwane City for their first competitive game of the season. While their rivals were in league action last weekend, Sundowns were given the week off due to delays to their pre-season after the death of Jayden Adams.
Sundowns have generally dominated South African football over the past decade, but they are often slow starters - and the MTN8 has generally not been the tournament they have had the strongest grip over.
They last won the tournament in 2021, but Orlando Pirates have clinched the title four times in a row since.

AmaZulu vs. Sekhukhune United
Two teams threatening the established big three order will face off in what is also a clash between two former Kaizer Chiefs head coaches.
AmaZulu boss Arthur Zwane served Amakhosi - his former club - in various capacities, including head coach. After having been deployed back into Chiefs academy structures, he took the reins at AmaZulu in 2024.
In July, Sekhukhune handed the reins to Cedric Kaze, who was in charge of Chiefs alongside Ben Youssef for most of last season.

Kaizer Chiefs vs. Golden Arrows
Kaizer Chiefs will host a Golden Arrows side which - like their hosts - is under fresh leadership. Pitso Dladla took over from Manqoba Mngqithi at Abafana Bes'thende ahead of the new season. Mngqithi was linked with the Kaizer Chiefs head coaching job, but Fernando da Cruz was ultimately appointed.
Da Cruz began his tenure with a 3-1 win over Kruger United, as Wandile Duba scored a brace off the bench. Arrows drew 0-0 to Chippa United in the first competitive game of Dladla's stint in charge.
