Four-time Formula 1 world champion Max Verstappen will take on 100 drivers in a unique go-karting event live on Disney+ on Sept. 16.
The event will take place on a purpose-built karting circuit at Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix, with Verstappen starting at the back of a 101-driver field and attempting to overtake every challenger.
The drivers will be taking to the grid in what is set to be the biggest go-kart race in the world.
Verstappen began karting at the age of four and competed in championships from the age of seven before progressing through the junior ranks and making his F1 debut in 2015.
The Dutchman became F1's youngest winner on his first race with Red Bull in 2016 and won four consecutive drivers' titles from 2021 to 2024.
"In go-karts you learn all the basics: starts, defending, overtaking," Verstappen said. "Of course, I spent a long period of my life go-karting, so it's always nice to return.
"It's about understanding the grip of the go-kart. I've done so many years in go-karting that you quite naturally get back into things."
The custom circuit has been designed by former racing driver and karting world champion David Terrien to accommodate the unusually large field.
The broadcast will feature live race data, game-inspired graphics and drone footage, while Verstappen will also be able to communicate directly with his rivals during the race.

Asked what he was most looking forward to, Verstappen said: "Just seeing the carnage unfold in front of me."
The field will feature athletes including ultrarunner Arda Saatçi, basketball shooting phenomenon Chris "Lethal Shooter" Matthews and freestyle mountain biker Matt Jones, as well as some streamers such as TheGrefg, Caedrel and TheDonato.
The full list of the 100 drivers will be confirmed ahead of the event.
Max vs 100 will be broadcast live on Disney+ on Sept. 16.
