As we approach tomorrow's trade deadline, the NBA action off the court is as hot as the play on the court. There were several trades yesterday, including the blockbuster that swapped James Harden and Darius Garland, and the rumor mill has several other marquee names that could be switching teams in the next day-plus. Until the deadline hits, all eyes will be on Shams Charania's account waiting for big trade news.
But there is still game action today to prepare for, as well. There are some monster matchups in tonight's seven-game slate, including four between teams with winning records already jostling for playoffs positioning. The Denver Nuggets go to Madison Square Garden to battle the New York Knicks, the San Antonio Spurs and Oklahoma City Thunder lock horns for the final time this regular season, the Minnesota Timberwolves head north of the border to challenge the Toronto Raptors and the Boston Celtics visit old coach Ime Udoka's Houston Rockets. As a bonus, the very Cleveland Cavaliers and LA Clippers that just swapped starting point guards face each other in Los Angeles.
With big games all over the league and trade rumors flying around, today promises to be a fun day in the Association. As always, we'll dig into the matchups and identify fantasy streamers, betting angles and DFS plays of interest for tonight's games.
Wednesday's fantasy stream team
Ty Jerome, PG, Memphis Grizzlies (rostered in 49.0% of ESPN leagues): Jerome made his season debut this weekend and is on a 20-minute restriction, but he has been scoring so efficiently that he is still putting up strong numbers. In two games, both against the Timberwolves, he totaled 39 points, 14 assists and 7 rebounds in 40 minutes. The Grizzlies will likely be very shorthanded today after yesterday's big trade.
Saddiq Bey, SF/PF, New Orleans Pelicans (rostered in 50.0% of ESPN leagues): Bey couldn't find his shot in his last game and managed only eight points, but that was his first single-digit scoring effort since returning from injury on Jan. 13. In the six games preceding the last, Bey averaged more than 25 PPG as a key cog in the Pelicans' offense.
Jaylon Tyson, SG/SF, Cleveland Cavaliers (rostered in 34.2% of ESPN leagues): The Cavaliers' recent trades will impact Tyson in the long run, but for now he should continue to produce at the level he has since Garland went down: 17.0 PPG, 5.7 RPG and 4.5 APG in his last six outings.
Dylan Harper, PG/SG, San Antonio Spurs (29.3%): Harper has played well this week, averaging 17.0 PPG in his last three outings. The most recent of those games came with Stephon Castle (adductor) sidelined, and Castle is questionable to play on Wednesday as well.
Dre's bets for Wednesday
Peyton Watson over 16.5 total points (-120): Watson is only 23 years old, giving him young and fresh legs for the second half of a back-to-back. This is the Nuggets' first back-to-back since Nikola Jokic and Christian Braun returned from injury, so it isn't clear if or how much either will play. Watson, meanwhile, has scored 17 or more in six of his last seven games, averaging 21.7 PPG during that stretch.
Donte DiVincenzo to make three-plus 3-pointers (-178): DiVincenzo has averaged 3.7 3PG in his last 15 outings, making at least three 3-pointers in 13 of those 15 games. He has a solid matchup against a Raptors squad that ranks 18th in the league in 3-pointers allowed to opposing point guards. You could also get DiVincenzo to make four-plus 3-pointers at plus money (+132).
Kevin Durant to score 25-plus points (-162): Durant is probable to return on Wednesday after sitting last game with an ankle injury. Durant only managed 13 points in the game before the injury, but in the five before he averaged 31.2 PPG with at least 31 points in four of the five games. He'll be facing a Celtics' defense that he already dropped 26 points against in their matchup earlier this season.
Spurs +2.5 over Thunder (-115): This will be the fifth time these two teams have played this season. In the first four, the Spurs have gone 3-1 with a +4.0 PPG scoring margin. The Thunder won their most recent matchup, a 21-point blowout in Oklahoma City. But the Spurs won two of the three matchups on the road, and this will be the second game between them in San Antonio. The Spurs won the other matchup in San Antonio by 20 points.

Ryan Rollins, PG, Milwaukee Bucks ($8,800): Rollins has consistently produced at an elite level since Giannis Antetokounmpo went down; he has at least 41.8 fantasy points in each of his last four games.
Amen Thompson, PG, Houston Rockets ($8,500): Thompson has produced between 35 and 50 fantasy points in nine straight games, with at least 42 FP in seven of those nine games.
$6,100-$8,000 salaries
Kyle Kuzma, PF, Milwaukee Bucks ($6,700): Kuzma has played well this week, like the entire Bucks' frontline since Giannis Antetokounmpo went down. He has scored at least 16 points in four straight games, averaging 24.3 PPG, 7.5 RPG and 5.5 APG during that span.
OG Anunoby, SF, New York Knicks ($6,800): Anunoby has averaged more than 40 FP/G over his last four outings with a high of 54.2 FP during that stretch.
Saddiq Bey, SF, New Orleans Pelicans ($6,500): Bey will look to bounce-back from a 21.8 FP performance against a Bucks squad that ranks 22nd in fantasy points allowed to opposing small forwards. Bey had scored between 41 and 52 fantasy points in each of the five games before Monday.

Donte DiVincenzo, SG, Minnesota Timberwolves ($6,000): DiVincenzo's hot shooting in the New Year has allowed him to be a consistently positive contributor, averaging over 30 FP/G in 2026.
