It's been over 10 years since Islam Makhachev lost a fight in the UFC. Since his loss to Adriano Martins at UFC 192 in October of 2015, Makhachev has won 17 consecutive fights. Most recently, he defeated Ian Machado Garry at UFC 330 via unanimous decision.
That victory was historic. It was his 17th consecutive victory, breaking his tie with Anderson Silva for most consecutive wins in UFC history.
Silva's 16th UFC win in a row occurred back in 2012 when he beat Stephan Bonnar at UFC 153 in the first round. He lost his next bout at UFC 162 the following year against Chris Weidman.
