Former No. 1 pick Andrea Bargnani signs with Spanish club team

Andrea Bargnani, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2006 NBA draft, has signed to play overseas for Saski Baskonia in Spain. The announcement was made Tuesday via the team's official Twitter account.

Bargnani, 30, had been without a team since securing a buyout from the Brooklyn Nets in late February.

Bargnani struggled in his only season with the Nets, averaging 6.6 points on 45.5 percent shooting in 46 games.

The native of Italy played 10 years in the NBA for the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks and Nets. He averaged 14.3 points and 4.6 rebounds in 550 career games, 433 of them with Toronto.
