RENTON, Wash. -- The Seattle Seahawks have signed offensive tackle Andrew McDonald, who had surgery for testicular cancer in May and reportedly was one of the players harassed in the scandal involving former Miami Dolphins guard Richie Incognito.
The Seahawks signed McDonald off the Carolina Panthers' practice squad, according to McDonald's agent, Brett Tessler.
Tessler took to Twitter Monday morning to announce the news.

McDonald (6-foot-6, 310 pounds) played for the Dolphins in 2012 as a rookie out of Indiana. He was one of two players allegedly bullied by Incognito, along with offensive tackle Jonathan Martin.
McDonald, 26, underwent surgery in May for testicular cancer, but he recovered in time to participate in Carolina's training camp.
The Seahawks had a roster spot open after waiving wide receiver Phil Bates over the weekend. It's a bit of a surprise that the Seahawks didn't use the available spot to sign another cornerback since Tharold Simon (knee) and Jeremy Lane (groin) are out with injuries.
