Braam Steyn crossed inside two minutes as Benetton Treviso made it back-to-back Guinness PRO14 wins with a 16-6 victory over struggling Ospreys at Stadio Comunale di Monigo.

Flanker Steyn went over in the first attack of the game and that proved decisive in a low-scoring contest. Ian McKinley made the conversion, although Dan Biggar kicked a penalty at the other end soon after for his first points of the season after the Italians were penalised at the scrum.

Fly-half McKinley added two penalties of his own to keep the scoreboard kicking over for the hosts, with Sam Davies -- who replaced Biggar after he suffered a back injury -- pulling three points back for the Welsh outfit on the half-hour mark.

Treviso were temporarily reduced to 14 men when Jayden Hayward was shown a yellow card, but Ospreys failed to make their advantage count despite a sustained spell of pressure and went in 13-6 down.

Alun Wyn Jones had a second-half try ruled out for offside, and Marty Banks made the win safe with a late penalty.
