Arsenal 5-2 Tottenham: Hosts swat Spurs aside in derby domination - as it happened

Arsenal cruised to a 5-2 victory over Tottenham, leaping into second place in the Women's Super League (WSL), as Alessia Russo netted a hat trick in just 22 minutes.

Russo opened the scoring with a header from Katie McCabe's corner in the fifth minute, before adding her second two minutes later, cleverly squeezing the ball in from a tight angle.

Spurs hadn't managed a single shot on target, but a defensive lapse from a set piece saw Frida Maanum turn the ball into her own net to pull one back for the visitors.

Russo reinstated the hosts' two-goal advantage when an underhit pass from Lize Kop fell perfectly to the England international, calmly converting in the 27th minute.

Substitute Caitlin Foord added a fourth just after the hour mark, before Bethany England pulled one back with a crisp half-volley.

Arsenal sealed the win in stoppage time, as Stina Blackstenius burst free to score the fifth goal, capping a dominant performance in north London.
