Coventry City have signed Ghana midfielder Caleb Yirenkyi from Danish side Nordsjaelland for an undisclosed fee ahead of their return to the Premier League.
The 20-year-old has agreed a long-term contract with Frank Lampard's side after representing Ghana at this summer's World Cup.
Reports say Coventry will pay €27 million (£23.1m) for Yirenkyi, with a further €3m (£2.5m) potentially due in add-ons. The deal would make him the most expensive signing in the club's history.
Yirenkyi arrives in England after an impressive season in Denmark, where he was named the Danish Superliga's young player of the year and selected in the division's team of the year.
The midfielder has already earned 15 caps for Ghana and is now set for his first experience of Premier League football as Coventry prepare for their first season back in the top flight.

"I'm excited to be at this club," Yirenkyi told Coventry's website. "I've heard so much about it and I really feel positive about being here.
"When I spoke to the head coach [Lampard] about the plans and the style, it's something I really like, and I look forward to learning from him."
