Enzo Maresca: Jérémy Doku will miss Man City's Premier League opener

Manchester City winger Jérémy Doku will miss their Premier League opener against Bournemouth with a calf injury, manager Enzo Maresca has confirmed.

The Belgium international felt the problem during the first half of City's defeat by Arsenal in the Community Shield last weekend.

The 24-year-old could be out for up to three weeks but Maresca otherwise has a fully-fit squad to select from ahead of Sunday's visit of the Cherries.

Maresca said: "At the moment the only one out is Jérémy Doku.

"Unfortunately in the last game, at half-time, he was complaining about a little bit of pain in his calf.

"The idea with him was to play 45 minutes anyway, so the change was planned, but at the moment it looks like two or three weeks, no more than that."

City will host Bournemouth on August 23 at the Etihad.
