With Carlos Alcaraz not participating in the 2026 French Open due to a wrist injury, Jannik Sinner is an overwhelming -310 favorite to win the men's title at Roland Garros. According to ESPN Research, those are the second-shortest pre-tournament odds going into any Grand Slam event since at least 1990, trailing only Rafael Nadal (-400) at the 2009 French Open, a tournament where he was upset in the fourth round. Just before Alcaraz announced his withdrawal, he was +150 to win the tournament to Sinner's -164.
The women's field shows a lot more parity, with Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek leading the way at +250 and +275, respectively, with those two players having swapped odds between Thursday and Friday. Elena Rybakina (+650) and defending champion Coco Gauff (+650) make up the next tier, with Mirra Andreeva (+900), Elina Svitolina (16-1) and Marta Kostyuk (25-1) occupying a middle ground before the rest of the field comes in at 40-1 or longer.
Outside of the favorites, many in the betting public are homing in on long-shot Americans Amanda Anisimova (40-1) and Jessica Pegula (50-1), with Gauff getting less attention due to her shorter odds and her erratic form. Sportsbooks also report some action on Karolina Muchova (40-1) and Naomi Osaka (50-1).
The French Open runs through the first weekend of June, with the women's championship on Saturday, June 6, at 9 a.m. ET and the men's championship June 7 at the same time.
